Che Adams and Ivan Ilić fire Torino to victory over Atalanta in Serie A

Torino claimed an impressive 2-1 win over Atalanta in Serie A. At the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, Che Adams and Ivan Ilić were the standout performers for the hosts, who overturned a deficit to secure their first three points of the season.
Retegui opens the scoring for Atalanta
It was Atalanta who took the initiative, breaking the deadlock after 26 minutes through Mateo Retegui, who was set up by Davide Zappacosta. With a 1-0 lead, the Bergamo side appeared to be cruising towards a comfortable afternoon in Turin.
Torino turn it around through Ilić and Adams
Torino, however, refused to be disheartened. Before the half-time whistle, the hosts struck back: Ivan Ilić found the net after a pass from Che Adams to level the score. Then, shortly after the restart, it was Adams himself who stole the spotlight, this time as a goalscorer. The Scottish international completed the turnaround with a 2-1 goal, sealing a memorable comeback for Torino.
Torino on four points, Atalanta on three
The victory gives Torino their first win of the season, moving them onto four points after two matchdays. Atalanta remain on three points.
