Feyenoord and Willem II played out a 1-1 draw in the Eredivisie. Antoni-Djibu Milambo gave Feyenoord an early lead, but Kyan Vaesen rescued a point for Willem II in the closing stages.
Milambo puts Feyenoord ahead early on
It was Feyenoord who struck in the twelfth minute. Antoni-Djibu Milambo opened the scoring, assisted by Santiago Gimenez. A flying start for the Rotterdammers, who for long stretches appeared to be heading for all three points.
Vaesen rescues a point for Willem II late on
With just eight minutes remaining, Willem II managed to avoid defeat. Kyan Vaesen equalised, with Raffael Behounek providing the assist. The 1-1 final score meant both sides headed home with a single point.
Busy schedule ahead for both clubs
Feyenoord face a packed fixture list in the coming weeks: PEC Zwolle on 18 August, Sparta Rotterdam on 25 August, and a home clash against Ajax on 1 September. Willem II, meanwhile, take on Go Ahead Eagles on 18 August, Heracles Almelo on 25 August, and host Sparta Rotterdam on 31 August.
