Gibbs-White hands Nottingham Forest first win of the season against Southampton
Nottingham Forest have claimed their first Premier League victory of the season, defeating Southampton 1-0. Morgan Gibbs-White was the match-winner with a goal in the 70th minute. Forest now sit on four points after two rounds of fixtures, while Southampton are left with two defeats as they endure a difficult start to the campaign.
Goalless first half, Gibbs-White makes the difference
Visiting Southampton, Nottingham Forest took all three points thanks to an efficient performance. The first half failed to produce any goals, but on 70 minutes it was Morgan Gibbs-White who broke the deadlock. His strike ultimately proved enough for a 1-0 victory, as Forest sealed the away win in style.

With this victory, Nottingham Forest secure their first three points of the season, bringing their tally to four points from two matches. Southampton, meanwhile, suffer a second consecutive defeat and remain without a point in the Premier League.
