Ajax have beaten SC Heerenveen 1-0 in the Eredivisie. The only goal of the match came in first-half stoppage time, when Kristian Hlynsson found the net.

Kristian Hlynsson scored the decisive strike in first-half added time, with Mika Marcel Godts providing the assist. Neither side could add to the tally after that, leaving the 1-0 scoreline unchanged at the final whistle.
Looking ahead: a busy schedule for both clubs
Ajax continue their season with home fixtures against NAC Breda on 18 August and Fortuna Sittard on 25 August, before travelling to city rivals Feyenoord on 1 September. SC Heerenveen face a run of matches against FC Utrecht on 17 August, FC Twente on 25 August, and then welcome NAC Breda to their own ground on 31 August.
