João Pedro and Danny Welbeck fire Brighton & Hove Albion to victory over Manchester United

Brighton & Hove Albion have six points from two Premier League fixtures, while Manchester United have just three. In an enthralling home match at the Broadfield Stadium, Brighton defeated Manchester United 2-1, with goals from Danny Welbeck and João Pedro proving the difference.
Welbeck opens the scoring, Diallo levels
The match began evenly and remained goalless for a long spell. In the 32nd minute, Danny Welbeck broke the deadlock for Brighton & Hove Albion, converting an assist from Kaoru Mitoma. Manchester United refused to lie down, however, and in the 60th minute Amad Diallo drew the visitors level, with Noussair Mazraoui providing the assist. A share of the spoils briefly appeared to be on the cards.
João Pedro settles the contest in stoppage time
In the closing stages it was João Pedro who ultimately secured all three points for Brighton & Hove Albion. The Brazilian finished off an assist from Simon Adingra to make it a decisive 2-1 in added time. For Manchester United, it was a painful defeat in a contest that had looked finely balanced for so long.
