Noordam sends Brighton to historic FA Cup final with 95th-minute goal
Nadine Noordam, formerly of ADO Den Haag and Ajax, fired Brighton & Hove Albion into the first FA Cup final in the club's history deep into injury time. The midfielder scored the decisive 2-3 against Liverpool in the 95th minute of the semi-final.

It is a milestone Brighton & Hove Albion Women have never reached before: a place in the FA Cup final. The club owes that historic achievement to Nadine Noordam, who came off the bench in the very last seconds of the match to score the winning goal against Liverpool. The Dutch midfielder, who built her career at ADO Den Haag and Ajax, started on the bench but was brought on just before the end of normal time. Her goal in the 95th minute proved to be the decisive moment: 2-3 to Brighton.
Brighton came back from 2-0 down
The semi-final started disastrously for Brighton. Liverpool dominated the opening phase and were already 2-0 up after a quarter of the match. Yet Brighton refused to give up. Shortly after Liverpool's second goal, Colombian Manuela Vanegas pulled one back to restore some tension. Early in the second half, American Madison Haley levelled the score completely. Netherlands international Marisa Olislagers, who started for Brighton, was part of the team that produced this impressive comeback.
Final against Chelsea or Manchester City
With a 2-3 victory, Brighton secured their place in the FA Cup final. Their opponent in the showpiece will be decided by the other semi-final, in which Chelsea and Manchester City face each other later in the day. For Brighton, simply reaching the final is already a historic feat — winning the trophy would make it all the more remarkable.
