Romeny earns FC Utrecht victory over PEC Zwolle
FC Utrecht have claimed a 1-0 Eredivisie home win over PEC Zwolle. Ole Romeny was the match-winner with a first-half goal, assisted by Jens Toornstra.
Early Romeny goal enough for Utrecht
FC Utrecht have taken all three points against PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie. The Utrecht side made a strong start to the match and seized the initiative early on. After sixteen minutes, Ole Romeny broke the deadlock: the forward coolly converted an assist from Jens Toornstra to put his side ahead. That 1-0 proved sufficient to keep the three points in Utrecht.
Outlook: busy schedule ahead for both clubs
FC Utrecht continue their Eredivisie campaign with three fixtures in quick succession: on 17 August they travel to SC Heerenveen away from home. A week later, on 24 August, Utrecht make the trip to NAC Breda, before hosting FC Twente on 1 September. PEC Zwolle welcome Feyenoord to their stadium on 18 August, face NEC away on 24 August, and round off the run at home against Heracles Almelo on 1 September.
