Willem II beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 in convincing Eredivisie home victory

Willem II have convincingly beaten Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie. At the Koning Willem II Stadion, Kyan Vaesen and Ringo Meerveld secured a 2-0 final score, earning the Tilburg side three vital points on home soil.
Vaesen opens the scoring from the spot
Willem II made a strong start to the match and took the lead early on. After 21 minutes, Kyan Vaesen made his mark on the game by coolly converting a penalty to make it 1-0.
Meerveld doubles the advantage
The hosts were not done there. Just under half an hour into the match, Willem II extended their lead to 2-0. Ringo Meerveld got his name on the scoresheet for the second goal, with an assist from Cisse Sandra. No further goals were scored in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.
